THE FIRST NOËL

This will be an evening of firsts! You are invited to hear Christmas music that includes nine premiers by local composers Paul Lindblad, Carl Schalk, Philip Gehring, Harvey Hahn, and our Composer-in-Residence, Michael Wolniakowski. Michael provided a lovely orchestration for his new carol "Carol of the Flowers" written to acknowledge Paul Bouman's 100th birthday. Local poet, Jennifer Knoblock, was commissioned to write the text for the carol. OPCC will be joined by the acclaimed Kontras String Quartet and other instrumentalists for a concert featuring works from medieval times through the twenty-first century.
